ZACH'S DELECTABLE NECESSITIES TO OPEN THIS SPRING IN SPRING GARDEN/PARKWAY AREA
Do you have a yearning, a craving, a yen that no one can seem to satisfy? Make up a wish list of your most desired delectable necessities and send it to Zach's, the new gourmet market set to open this spring at 533 N. 22nd Street in the city's Spring Garden/Parkway/Museum area.
Emmerich and Joan Zach, who also own and operate Zach's Cakes and Pastries of Distinction, the 19 year-old Northeast Philadelphia landmark bakery at 6419 Rising Sun Avenue, say they'll make every possible effort to satisfy customers' cravings for their favorite specialty snacks, sweets, and savories.
Featured at the market will be Master Pastry Chef Emmerich Zach's original decorated cakes, signature European pastries, and Old World style specialty breads including German rye, pumpernickel, challah, and marble. His Philadelphia Traditions collection will bring back such nostalgic noshables as butter cake, wine cakes, and "high hats."
The market will also offer an extensive line of party, snack, and weekend brunch necessities including pates and cheeses, premium ice creams and yogurts, sweet and savory dips and spreads, and bagged coffees and boxed teas. Freshly brewed teas and La Colombe coffee, espresso, cappuccino, and lattes will also be available.
Not to forget the bare necessities, Zach's will also carry such can't-be-without basics as milk, butter, eggs, juices and soft drinks, fresh-cut flowers, and of course, the morning paper.
